After you came to our lab and final, we received a lot of inquiry from students who thought we did a pretty good job promoting you and your business, so Lucy and I thought it would only be fair if we received monetary compensation for the time and work we put into the video.
In turn we would be happy to edit/cut the video further to your liking and get it to you just as spring quarter starts.

All in all, Lucy and I had a lot of fun making an informational/promotional video about you and look forward to ordering more cookies in the future.

How much compensation were you looking for? I'd rather pay you in cookies than anything else. Frankly, we are too much of a break-even company right now to be paying for these things. I'm grateful you made it, but I also took time out to help you guys so you could do it for a class. Let me know what you're thinking.

I don't mean to sound so blunt with it but here is the reality of my finances monthly:

Rent --> $1250
Car --> $250
Kitchen Rental $300
Student Loans $300
Gas --> $600

That's before I've even bought myself anything to eat. So please keep that in mind when coming up with an ideafor your compensation. I would prefer to offer you larger orders of cookies b/c that is at least my work/skill that I can offer in exchange. I would definitely not be able to pay you much monetarily (I mean $75 or less). Triton TV is making us a video in exchange for cookies and Tom Dadourian who headed up TritonTV is also making one with us.

Don't forget how much you benefited from having The Secret Cookie Service as a subject and how much exposure you will get when we post your video on our wall. We get over 20,000 unique visits on our fb page each week (i'm not exaggerating that either) and over 3300 will see it on their minifeed when we post it. Just give yourselves the credit that is due at the end of the video. We'd never claim the video as being produced on our own. I would literally introduce it as "These two students produced this for a class and we're grateful they did it... blah blah blah"

Lucy and I have decided that $30 would be a reasonable amount for the time spent working on the video. We will also take the time to edit a few of the other great clips of you that didn't make it onto the video.

i felt it was only fair. because we gave him a means of exposure. he doesn't have an informational nor promotional video about him. AND we also bought 30 cookies from him in class and he didn't give us a discount or anything LAME we bought the cookies more for business to him, in addition to advertising him. he needs better business skills... lawdy
